Is it possible to increase (or decrease) the height of the book page?

To write a mathematical answer (proof) to a problem I need to use many lines of text written in equation editor.  I found that each line must be in a separate equation editor plug in.  Thus the default height of the book page is insufficient to contain the entire answer (proof).

If the height of the page is increased my problem would be solved (I guess).

Currently the page size expands when neccessary. For example, if you draw a large white block that takes up the whole page, then move hte block down out of sight, then the page will expand. It make take afew seoncds, or you can go to the next page, the back to the previous page, to force expansion of that page.

Both first and seconds methods have to be used together. i.e. I had to enlarge the block out of page and move back and forth between next page and current page.
