After some trouble navigating through the process of using this product, I finally did it!  I held my first client meeting which lasted 2 1/2 hours complete with PPT presentation and annotations.  Everything went well.  Thanks

In fact, I was so excited that all went well I wrote about VYEW in my blog and supplied the URL so that others could research and join in on this great find!

I know that you are always working on improvements and I do have a few things that I still need to learn.  Can you tell me if the following is possible:

1.  Can more than one participant webcam be used at the same time without giving participants collaboration rights?  I just want to see my audience and have them see me, but I don’t want them to have rights to do anything else but relax and enjoying the learning.

2.  I still do not see how to schedule a meeting that does not involve the participants having to log in and supply password.  I currently am setting up my meeting 10 minutes before and sending them the URL so that they can join.  Where am I going wrong?

3.  When will you have the recording feature available?  I downloaded the program as provided on your site, but then saw that it was not operating correctly so I uninstalled.

4.  Is there anyway to use the VOIP without giving the participants rights?  If so, how and if not when will you be doing this?

5.  When do you believe the animation feature for PPT slides will be released?

Seems like a lot to ask, but I have used WebEx and Go to Meeting.  I really like VYEW much more, just would love to have these features as well.

Thanks and again great job!

Congrats on your first meeting! Glad it worked out. I’ll answer what I know off hand then do some research on the ones Im not sure about.

1. At this time, I believe only collaborators can use the camera. In the future we will have more granular permission control over the software, but until then what you request is not possible. I wonder though, you may be able to make them a collaborator, have them turn on your camera, then demote them… and it should keep going. Need to check that though.

2. This is a bug which we are working to fix and release within a week. For now, use the normal invites, invite them as Viewers, then keep SYNC MODE ON, that way they will not be able to navigate your meeting until you arrive. (NOTE: That if SYNC MODE is off, then viewers CAN navigate...)

3. Since we are working on a new major release of Vyew we have abandonned the current recording feature, and are creating a new one that will be more efficient. This will not be due out until the end of the year.

4. I believe this is possible, i’ll check.

5. We do not have animation planned as of now.

Thanks Tim!

I appreciate your response.  I plan on upgrading my account from the free service, but did want to make sure that my little concerns were addressed.

As you find out more, please share. :>)
