Sync viewable area

I noticed that the sync viewable area button disappeared because it was causing problems with multiple collaborators.

Would it be possible to restore the button for moderator only? I found it very useful to scroll/zoom documents without telling all the participants to do the same, and it also saves a lot of time.

Hope the button comes back!

Video Size - Online Video

When inserting a online video using the option “video from URL” the player vindow is very, very small. Doesn�t matter what size the original video is. This makes this feature a kind of useless.

I think the player should at least have the size of the embedded youtube player.

OR - even better - the size of the original video (i.e. 1280x720)

Will there be a feature like this in the near future ?? - I hope so.

Despite of this “minor” issue - this is a really great tool - very clever - very useful

Grouping Objects?? Fill Tool, Vector Break Object to Free Draw Mode.

This should be a simple enough to be had already. Grouping all kinds in to one grouped “layered” object. Using Flash with no vector tool like fill or interacting with other painted objects. Adding a Break Object option . It would transformed the object to a free “Vector” status, to allow of filling and joining in other drawn parts.

Ex: Drawing now should default be “free” until grouped to a Object. If writing text, the Text-Object can be broken to free vector mode.

This would allow much wider freedom to draw and construct better tools for communicating & organizing a project.

Custom Dynamic Buttons (RollOver, Custom Images, ClickArea)

Make your own custom Dynamic button,

Made of 4 pictures, where last ClickArea is where the mouse cursor changes from default to rollover action. Any data area will be used, or maybe a specific color.

[Default][RollOver][Press][ClickArea] New Frame for each,
Also to have option of action when rollover or when pressing or when release of press.
Allowing of grouping of buttons inside buttons, for a rollover roll out menu system.

Ex: [Menu] When default, once rollover; [Menu]>[1...]/n[2...]/n[3..] That has an overall and internal variable of the mouseover from root, to sub rollover. This would allow for puzzle like menu system to be created as a game almost.

Invite people from the list of all already invited people

Hi,
it would be very useful to be able to select people to be invited not only by writing the email address, but also by picking people from a list of formerly invited people.
Is it doable?

More visible sticky notes status

It would be great to see the status of the sticky notes on a higher level. That one dont have to click and read it before you know the status of it. It will be very helpful to know whats done and not i.e. tracking the project progress more easilly.

Virtual Office

Folks,

We’re using Vyew as a “Virtual Office”, an obvious use obviously.

We have 35 people spread across the globe, US, India, Switzerland, Spain, Canada, etc.... There is one office where more than two people show up. The rest are individuals working collectively, but separately, on company initiatives.

We leave a Vyewbook open and available with the entire company invited to it. We call it “The Office”. We ask everyone to come into “The Office” every day. When they are working at their desks we ask that they are in “The Office”.

We have also created “Rooms” (vyewbooks) titled R&D;, Exec Team, HR, WaterCooler, etc..... We ask that the respective employees monitor these rooms for their respective responsibilities (Watercooler is for telling jokes).

What we’d like to see are some improvements to that regard.

We’d like an “always on top” status window or dockable sidebar that indicates, by means of an ordered list of names, who is in “The Office” currently, who was in the office earlier but has left, and who has indicated they will be in the office later at “X pm EST”. This can also be extended to include other rooms, such as Exec Team, but each room should be ordered so that the highest priority room stays at the top of the list.

We’d like to have a Quick “jump” into a defined “Room”, that is, if someone wants to jump quickly to the “Watercooler” they can simply click the appropriate point on the sidebar and that “Room” opens up for them.

We’d like to be able to have the default view be full-screen for these “Jumps”.

We’d like to be able to “Ping” or “Fetch” someone to bring them into the Room. This can be email, twitter, SMS texting, an Alert tone and flashing signal on the Sidebar of that person, or some other means but it must contain all the information they need to quickly join such as URL and Conference call number and code.

We’d like Outlook integration so that a thread of emails can be assigned to a Room (vyewbook), so that a “Schedule a Meeting” also created the appropriate Vyewbook or an existing vyewbook could be selected to be included in the calendar invite and provide the URL and Conference call number in the invite.

We’d like a grouping of Contacts in each users Vyew so they can organize their contacts into teams that can be quickly invited, wholesale, into an ad-hoc meeting or allow meeting organizers to easily manage meetings when times change or agendas change close to the time of the meeting. Sending an update of last minute changes through Vyew to 30 of 35 individuals is particularly tough.

I should leave the rest to later posts, the gist of the requests are to support “Virtual Offices”, to bring Vyew to the point where a Virtual Office in Vyew is as close to the real thing as possible. Especially as we are already seeing people act differently, better in terms of their comfort in a Virtual Office, and we’ve only been doing this for a short time.
